Speaking of Contests…

Back in August (was it really that long ago?) I teamed up with DogTipper.com to give away a custom portrait, just like those given to celebrities in the 2010 MTV Movie Awards Gift Lounge. Remember that little adventure? Well I just finished the portrait for the gracious and patient winner of that contest and here it is.

Daisy

Completed:  December 16, 2010

Soundtrack: Christmas With The Puppini Sisters

Sipping on: Menage a Trois California Red

You know the saying, "When one door closes, a window opens?" Well I"m going to paraphrase with "When one giveaway is fulfilled, another one happens" because today The Pioneer Woman is giving away three custom portraits by yours truly. The contest started this morning and goes until noon Friday, so head over there and leave a comment if you'd like to enter. Amazingly, there are already over 10,000 entries. Can you believe it?! Those Pioneer Woman readers sure know how to make a girl feel loved.

  1. I entered the Pioneer Woman giveaway, and let me tell you…..I will be so sad if I don’t get picked. 🙂
I love your work. It’s beautiful. Wonderfully beautiful.

  2. Wow, Rachael, your artistic talent is magical and awesome! It amazes me how you can capture the personalities of the subject with a stroke of the brush. Simply Amazing!

  3. Just love your work. Had never seen it until today. Would love a painting of my two ragdoll sister cats, Dot and Dash. But Dot is 22 lbs so you would need a big canvas. You have a wonderful holiday and thanks for sharing your awesome work.

  4. I told myself about 2 months ago that I wanted to learn how to paint watercolor! Maybe now that I am out of school I will play around with the idea!

I signed up for Pioneer Woman’s giveaway. Maybe a miracle will happen and I will win! I feel like I’ll never win anything over there… but I still love her to pieces!

  5. I tried to win one of Pioneer Woman’s giveaway portraits but woe is me, I didn’t. We had to put a lovely pug to sleep and I’d love to have a portrait. I love her website, love that she introduced me to you!

  6. I saw your work first when you painted Pioneer Woman’s Charlie. You are incredibly talented and I am so inspired by your work. I love the free flowing style of watercolors and your work is so unique. Congratulations on your accomplishments.
