- When framing, always choose glass with
UV protection
- Clayboard engravings are sealed with
Claybord Matte Fixative and can be framed without glass
- Watercolors, unless otherwise noted, are not
sealed. That means they are vulnerable until they are properly framed.
- Watercolors on Yupo are especially vulnerable
until they are properly framed. Since Yupo is a synthetic paper, the paint does not "sink in" like with traditional watercolor
papers. Even the slightest amount of moisture can lift the pigment from the surface and alter the image. I don't use fixative
because not alot is known about their use with this paper long-term.
